Fatima Sana made her debut for Pakistan in 2019 and since then has become an indispensable part of the team, being handed the captaincy ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. As a youngster, she was instantly inspired by Ellyse Perry, prompting her to become a pace-bowling all-rounder herself.

She earned the ICC Emerging Player of the Year (2021) Award after impressive all-round performances. Sana often takes the responsibility of bowling with the new ball as she can make it swing both ways. In the final few overs, she often brings out a looping slower-ball yorker that has troubled quite a few batters.
