Laura Wolvaardt is a talented South African cricketer renowned for her elegant batting style and sharp cricketing acumen. She wields one of the most stylish cover drives that she often deploys against the new ball while opening the batting. Wolvaardt has become a key figure in the Proteas women's team since making her debut at age 16.
For her exploits in the shortest format, Wolvaardt was named in the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year at the ICC Awards 2021. In 2022, she also climbed to the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Rankings for Batters, and in 2023, was handed the captaincy of South Africa.
