The most menacing new ball bowler of his generation, Alan Davidson took 186 wickets in 44 Tests at an average of just 20.53 and with an economy rate of 1.97.
Player Bio
A veteran of 44 Test matches, in which he took 186 wickets, including 14 five-wicket hauls and two-10 wicket hauls, he also played 193 first-class matches in which he took 672 wickets. Regarded as a potent bowler with the new ball, as well as a useful batsman, scoring five Test half centuries and nine first-class hundreds, he was also a top-class fielder.
