Named the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1987, Courtney Walsh took 519 wickets in 132 Test matches including 22 five-wicket hauls in a career that spanned between 1984 and 2001. Remembered for his hostile bowling partnerships with Curtly Ambrose, he broke Kapil Dev’s record of most Test wickets in 2000. He remains one of the most prolific bowlers in the history of the Test format.
