Player Bio
Born on October 21, 1940, Geoffrey Boycott has been one of the legends of Yorkshire and England cricket, still regarded as one of the greatest Test opening batsmen of all time. In an international career that lasted 18 years from 1964 and 1982, he scored 8,114 runs. When he quit with 22 Test centuries and 151 first-class scores of over hundred, Boycott had established himself as, possibly, the batsman with the greatest defence in the game. Since retirement, Boycott’s has been one of the most heard voices in cricket commentary. He became the president of Yorkshire county cricket club in 2012.
