Playing in an era when West Indies produced some of the greatest fast bowlers ever, Malcolm Marshall still stood out as best of the lot. Born on April 18, 1958 in Bridgetown, Barbados, Marshall made his Test debut against India at Bangalore on December 15, 1978 at the tender age of 20 and went on to become one of the most devastating bowlers ever. Even on the dullest of pitches, batsmen all across the world feared facing him. His 376 wickets from 81 Test matches came at an average of 20.94 and an equally impressive strike rate of 46.7. His ODI record was no less impressive, with his 157 wickets from 136 ODIs coming at an average of 26.96 and an economy rate of 3.53.
