An elegant strokemaker, Rohan Kanhai scored 6,227 Test runs, including 15 centuries. He also had a short but successful ODI career, signing off from international cricket in style as part of the West Indies side that won the 1975 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Player Bio
Regarded as one of the best batsmen of the 1960s, Rohan Kanhai represented West Indies in 79 Tests. He was part of the West Indian team that won the inaugural World Cup. Kanhai played for West Indies from 1957 until 1974. He kept wickets in his first three Tests before Franz Alexander took over. Kanhai didn't score a century until his 13th Test, then made 256 against India in Calcutta as West Indies won by an innings and 336 runs. In all he hit 15 Test centuries, averaging 47.53.
