ICC thanks Malaysia Cricket Association for successfully hosting ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today has thanked the Malaysia Cricket Association for the successful hosting of the second edition of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup.

The World Cup, which showcases and celebrates the future stars of the game, took place from 18 January to 2 February in Malaysia, who were hosting an ICC event for the first time since 2008.

India were crowned champions after 41 games of exciting and competitive cricket with some memorable performances from the 16 participating teams on show. The host locations of Bangi, Johor, Sarawak and Selangor delivered a successful event.

ICC Chair, Jay Shah said: “We would like to thank the Malaysia Cricket Association for the successful hosting of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. From the fantastic venues to the competitive cricket on display, Malaysia provided a fantastic platform for the future stars of the game to shine. We congratulate them on delivering a successful event and look forward to working with them again in the future.

“Also, congratulations to India for winning their second U19 Women’s T20 World Cup title and to all participating teams, the event highlighted another important milestone in the global development of women’s cricket.”
