10 – Number of teams at ICC Women's World T20 2018

Defending champions the Windies, No.1-ranked Australia, 50-over world champions England, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ireland are the nations set to participate in the sixth edition of the tournament. Of these, Bangladesh and Ireland had to go through a qualifying event to get to the big stage.

With three WT20 titles to their name, Australia are the most successful team in the competition, while England were the inaugural champions of the tournament.

Windies, the defending champions and hosts for the 2018 edition, beat Australia in the final of the ICC Women's World T20 2016, played at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
