Australia, New Zealand Women set to resume cricket in September
Cricket Australia on Thursday, 28 May, announced the schedule for the summer, marking the first steps in resumption of the sport in the country since the COVID-19 pandemic.
While acknowledging that another spike in cases could force these schedules to be changed again, Kevin Roberts, CA CEO, assured stakeholders that they would "act in accordance with public health advice and government protocols to ensure the safety of the public, players and support staff".
“While acknowledging the difficulty in navigating a global pandemic, we are nonetheless encouraged by the progress Australia is making in combatting the coronavirus and the positive impact that is having on our ability to host an exciting summer of cricket in 2020-21," he said.

As per the schedule, Australia, who won the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 at home in early March, will take on New Zealand in three T20Is at the North Sydney Oval starting 27 September, before the teams travel to Townsville, Cairns and the Gold Coast for the ODIs.
India, finalists at the World Cup, will visit Australia in January, for ODIs in Canberra, St Kilda and Hobart. The ODIs should serve as preparation for the teams during a significant 50-over Women's World Cup year.
