Bangladesh pace sensation receives maiden call-up for West Indies T20I series

Nahid Rana, who had been an exciting feature of Bangladesh’s Test win in Pakistan back in September, is poised to make his debut in the shortest format.

22-year-old fast bowler Nahid Rana has been added to the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming three T20I series against the West Indies.

The pacer, who has played six Tests and three ODIs for the senior team, has been added to the T20I squad for the first time.

Rana was an integral member of the Test squad that registered a historic 2-0 series sweep in Pakistan and has 20 wickets to his name in the longest format. He also boasts another four scalps in a short ODI career.

Bangladesh are currently in the midst of an all-format tour of West Indies. Having levelled the two-Test series 1-1, the visitors were handed a 3-0 drubbing in the ODIs. The T20I series will kickstart on Monday, December 16 in St Vincent.
