Bangladesh win series, top CWC Super League table
Bangladesh's stunning victory has given them an unassailable 2-0 series lead and with 50 points, they are now No.1 in the Super League standings.
It was an all-round show by the team with Mushfiqur Rahim leading the batting charts with a magnificent 125 combined with an equally laudable bowling performance.
While rain played a spoilsport several times in the match, Bangladesh stuck to their plan as Sri Lanka unravelled in the second half of their innings. With one wicket to win, the rain came again to stall the match for nearly 45 minutes, thereby reducing the number of overs.

It, however, did not take long for the hosts to pick up the last wicket of Lakshan Sandakan and achieve a comfortable victory.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat but endured a dreadful start to the match, losing the two big wickets of Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan to Dushmantha Chameera in the second over of the match.
At 15/2, Liton Das was joined in the middle by Mushfiqur as the duo attempted to revive Bangladesh's innings. The pair combined for 34 runs, ensuring they didn't lose another wicket before the first powerplay.
On his first delivery of the match, Sandakan provided the breakthrough for Sri Lanka, drawing Liton to cut the ball straight to the fielder at backward point. Sandakan added to Bangladesh's woes sending Mosaddek Hossain back to the pavilion for just 10 runs. The loss of wickets did not put a stop to Mushfiqur Rahim's knock as he went on to reach his second fifty of the series.

He found the support of Mahmudullah at the other end, contributing 41 runs to the solid partnership. The duo stitched together an 87-run stand for the fifth wicket laying the foundation for a big score. The threatening partnership came to an end when Mahmudullah fell to Sandakan following a brilliant piece of wicket-keeping from Kusal Perera.
The Sri Lankan bowlers took charge, Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan both departed without making much of an impact on the scoreboard.
Mohammad Saifuddin provided some resistance, his resilient knock enabled Rahim to achieve his eighth ODI century. His 115-ball ton aided in Bangladesh's recovery from the top-order collapse. Saifuddin was his own worst enemy after he was run out by Kusal Mendis. Shoriful Islam followed him back to the pavilion after perishing to Isuru Udana for a duck.
Bangladesh were eventually bundled out for 246.
Sri Lanka did not get off to a good start as Kusal Perera became Shoriful's maiden ODI wicket. Danushka Gunathilaka failed to capitalize on his slow start as his innings came to an end after Mustafizur Rahaman had him caught for a 46-ball 24.

Pathum Nissanka fell prey to Shakib just when he got himself into the innings. The visitors were dealt another blow after Mehidy Hasan trapped Kusal Mendis lbw. With Sri Lanka reeling at 89/4, Shakib added another wicket to his tally trapping Dhnanjaya de Silva plumb in front, shifting the momentum in favour of the hosts.
Sri Lanka stuttered towards the end leading to a lower-middle order collapse, Mehidy Hasan snared two wickets of Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga, followed by Mustafizur deceiving Ashen Bandara with a cutter.
With 121 required and 1 wicket in hand, rain came down for the second time, reducing the match to 40 overs; which Bangladesh eventually won by 103 runs via the DLS method.
