The left-arm pacer left the field during the 27th over of Bangladesh’s innings, departing after completing 6.4 overs of bowling. Janith Liyanage bowled the remaining two balls of Madushanka’s incomplete over.
Sri Lanka Cricket revealed that the pacer would begin his rehabilitation work after an MRI scan confirmed a left hamstring injury.

The left-arm pacer picked up two wickets apiece in both the ODIs, including two big wickets of Bangladesh opener Litton Das (0) and the series opener’s centurion Najmul Hossain Shanto (40) in the second ODI.
Bangladesh won the first ODI by six wickets courtesy of Shanto’s unbeaten 122. Sri Lanka fought their way back in the next outing, securing a close three-wicket win thanks to Pathum Nissanka’s composed 114.
Madushanka is anticipated to be sidelined for several weeks. Sri Lanka has not yet named a replacement.
