Plan ahead so you can make the most out of your day at the Bristol County Ground during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.
The Bristol County Ground is in the Bishopston neighbourhood and is approximately 2.5 miles from the city centre. There are plenty of public transport options so please leave your car at home or use our Park & Ride service. Walking and cycling are good choices for those staying close by.

PARK & RIDE
Bristol Parkway Train Station offers excellent rail connections, extensive parking and will also serve as a Park & Ride site.
For parking please use the multi storey car park at the station or the adjacent Stoke Gifford car park, both will be available during CWC19. The parking is a paid service. (Please use APCOA parking app or parking ticket machine for payments at the multi storey carpark.) Please note: Stoke Gifford car park is 10 min (0.5 mile) walk from Parkway station.
The Park & Ride shuttles will stop at Ashley Down Road which is approximately 300m from the Ashley Down Gate entrance. The shuttle will operate on tournament match days only (1st, 7th and 11th June) and will commence service from Bristol Parkway three hours prior to match start, with the return service from the cricket ground back to Bristol Parkway resuming approximately 30 60 minutes before close of play.
Park & Ride shuttles are accessible and will be free of charge to match ticket or accreditation holders.Information about parking at Bristol Parkway and payment options can be found here.
BUS
The existing public bus network in Bristol is excellent and benefits from many regular services from both train stations, as well as the city centre. Local buses to the cricket ground stop on Gloucester Road (for access to the Grace Gate via Nevil Road)
• Bus no. 71 and 72: service UWE Campuses via Temple Meads and City Centre;
• Bus no.73: from Temple Meads to Bristol Parkway via City Centre;
• Buses no. 75 and 76: from Cribbs Causeway to Hartcliffe & Hengrove via City Centre;
• Intercity buses: Severn Express and T2.

TRAIN
Bristol County Ground is located approximately 2.5 miles from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station and 4.5 miles from Bristol Parkway Train Station. Both stations are frequently serviced by an extensive rail network from London, Cardiff or further afield.
A free shuttle service will be available on tournament match days (1st, 7th and 11th June) between Bristol Parkway and the ground.
Local bus services 71 and 73 operate between the ground and Bristol Temple Meads.
The nearest train station to the ground is Montpellier Station which is approximately one mile walk from the venue. The station serves the Severn Beach Line which operates twice-hourly services on a single-track line from Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach.

PARKING
Due to venue location in a very densely-populated residential area, there will be strictly no event parking available at Bristol County Ground and the surrounding area. We strongly recommend you use public transport, active travel or Park & Ride services.
Parking for blue badge holders is very limited at the ground and must be pre-booked to secure your space. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To book a Blue Badge space please contact the venue reception on 0117 910 8000 or email reception@glosccc.co.uk
DROP OFF & PICK UP/ TAXI, PRIVATE HIRE, UBER
Designated taxi ranks will be on Gloucester Rd just off Nevil Rd (Grace Gate exit). Please see Spectator Travel Guide map for location.
Drop Off and Pick up for private hire and Uber will be on Arthur Milton St just off Ashley Down Rd (Ashley Down Gate exit) as well as on lower Gloucester Rd (just on the corner of Egerton Rd). Please see Spectator Travel Guide map for location.
WALK/CYCLE
Our World Cup Cricketeers will welcome you and offer support and information at Bristol Parkway.
Cricketeers will be also along the way on the venue side of Gloucester Road and Ashley Down Rd.
Bristol is one of the UK's most bike-friendly cities. If you are coming by bike additional bicycle racks will be available at Ashley Down Gate to support your active travel.
