Dallas played host to a superb match to open the tournament as USA and Canada locked horns in a run-fest.
In a repeat of the oldest international fixture in cricket history, Canada put themselves in a superb position to pull off a shock of their own against a side ranked above them in the ICC T20 Team Rankings, hitting a daunting 194/5 off their 20 overs.
USA looked in trouble when they lost opener Steven Taylor to the second ball of the chase, with his fellow opener Monank Patek departing for a run-a-ball 16, leaving a huge task ahead for the middle order.
Andries Gous played his part with a classy 65 from 46 balls, but it was Aaron Jones who won the game for America with the best knock across the entirety of the group stage, slamming 94 from just 40 balls. In an innings that contained an eye-watering 10 sixes, Jones took the match away from Canada, as USA won with two overs to spare.
USA vs Pakistan

Result: USA win Super Over by 5 runs
USA stun Pakistan in a dramatic Super Over finale in Dallas.
It has been dubbed the greatest shock in cricket history, and that is not an oversell. USA’s Super Over win over Pakistan in Dallas was an almighty upset but a thoroughly deserved one, as the tournament co-hosts outplayed their highly experienced opponents in all three facets of the game.

Three powerplay wickets meant that Pakistan opted to bed in and look for a competitive score, with only a late flurry of runs helping them to 159/7.
Nosthush Kenjige impressed with 3/30, but it was Saurabh Netravalkar who looked the classiest act with the ball as he took 2/18 and proved very tricky to score off.

USA could and probably should have won the match in regulation time as their top order contributed to a controlled chase, with Monank Patek top-scoring with 50 from 38 and the pairing of Andries Gous (35) and Aaron Jones (36*) again in the thick of the action.
As it was, USA needed a boundary off the final ball of the innings to force a tie and a Super Over, and Nitish Kumar duly delivered.
And, against some of the best performers in world cricket, USA were comfortably the better side in the Super Over, scrambling 18 in their effort before the brilliant Netravalkar stepped up to seal the deal with the ball.
USA vs India

Beating the world’s top-ranked T20I team would have trumped even their dramatic win over Pakistan, and USA threatened to do so in a low-scoring thriller at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York.
Six batters reached double figures on a track that proved very difficult to score on against some of the leading bowlers in the world, helping USA set a competitive total of 110.
And for a while it looked like they were going to deny India in the chase, with the legendary opening pair of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma both dismissed early by that man Netravalkar.
Saurabh Netravalkar's opening spell saw the back of Virat Kohli, for a golden duck, and Rohit Sharma.
However, India’s depth of quality shone through in the end. Rishabh Pant (18) and Shivam Dube (31*)* played their part, but it was Suryakumar Yadav who played the best hand, showing just why he sits at the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings with an outstanding 50 to win the match with ten balls to spare.
USA vs Ireland
Central Broward & Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida
Match Abandoned without toss
The record levels of rainfall in Florida meant that the outfield in Lauderhill was completely drenched even before another thunderstorm arrived to finally put any hopes of play between USA and Ireland to rest.
