Cricket Inter Insular 2012 to be contested in Jersey on 1st September

The annual Cricket Inter Insular, which is always so keenly contested, will be played on Saturday, 1st September at Grainville Cricket Ground.

Jersey will be looking to improve on their 2011 performance which saw the young squad bitterly disappointed to lose out to their Guernsey counterparts. Following the loss, the same Jersey squad played well in World Cricket League 6 in Kuala Lumpur and could so closely have gained promotion.

The Inter Insular is arguably the main fixture for Jersey in 2012 and should be a good spectacle. The JICC Clubroom will be open for refreshments and updates and information will be broadcast over the PA system. The Jersey Cricket Board is hoping for a good turn out of local supporters.

Sponsored by Marlborough Trust, the event also offers Marquee Hospitality to provide an exclusive and shaded area to entertain one?s guests, catch up with old friends over a leisurely lunch, or to build team spirit amongst colleagues whilst watching what promises to be a good afternoon of cricket.

Mixed tables are also available for smaller groups, tourists, business visitors and other individuals who would like to attend.

Tickets for the Marquee Hospitality are available for £45 per person to include Morning Coffee and a Two Course Lunch, provided by Harpers Catering.
