Dream day for Yuvraj commences at India v Pakistan in New York

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 ambassador Yuvraj Singh will embark on a special journey on Sunday when he attends two world-class sporting events on the same day.

Yuvraj will begin his day in New York at the eagerly awaited clash between India and Pakistan at the T20 World Cup and finish his journey in Boston, when he will be in the crowd at the TD Garden watching game two of the ongoing NBA Finals series between the Celtics and the Mavericks.

The India great will coordinate the reunion between the ICC Men's T20 World Cup trophy and the NBA's Larry O'Brien trophy, following the viral social media collaboration between the ICC and NBA at the start of the tournament that featured India captain Rohit Sharma.

The match between India and Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York will be watched by fans all across the world, with the corresponding fixture at the 2022 T20 World Cup providing memories that will live on for years when Virat Kohli led India to a memorable victory.

India and Pakistan face off in New York in a huge T20 World Cup 2024 Group A clash.

Fans will get the chance to follow Yuvraj's journey from New York to Boston by following the ICC, T20 World Cup and NBA social media channels and by clicking on the T20 World Cup Instagram Stories throughout the day.

India cruised to a victory over Ireland in their opening match at the T20 World Cup and will be keen to keep that momentum going when they take on their traditional rivals in New York.

Pakistan fell to a narrow Super Over loss to co-hosts USA in their tournament opener and need to orchestrate a victory over India to ensure they stay in contention for reaching the second round of the event.

The T20 World Cup 2024 Ambassador Yuvraj Singh expressed excitement for the collaboration between ICC and NBA on a big day for both sports.

“It's hard to imagine a more epic day for a sports fan. The India v Pakistan encounter is the World Cup fixture everyone in those two countries wait for and want to be at and it's become one of the world's biggest sporting rivalries,” said Yuvraj.

“It's a privilege to be able to showcase the passion surrounding this event to the NBA’s audience, and, conversely, to introduce cricket fans to the incredible atmosphere of the NBA Finals, where global sports icons compete for the ultimate prize in basketball.”
