Ecclestone, Taylor, Gunn back in England Women's squad

Ecclestone is back in the scheme of things having recovered from a broken hand that kept her our of the side for the previous series against Sri Lanka. Taylor had missed the Sri Lanka series with the selectors looking to manage her anxiety issues, while Gunn had been rested.

Freya Davies, Linsey Smith and Sophia Dunkley, who played in the Sri Lanka series, are the ones to be left out from the 15-member squad to accommodate the returning stars.

Meanwhile, Georgia Elwiss misses out as she is yet to recover from a back stress fracture that kept her out of the Sri Lanka series.

England are currently enjoying a winning streak of 10 games, having won four on the trot against India before defeating Sri Lanka in each of the six matches. They will look to extend that streak when they take on Windies, starting 6 June in Leicester.

The series will serve as a lead-in to the home Ashes that follows. Heather Knight, the captain, has urged her team to maintain strong standards when they face West Indies.

"It's a massive summer for us and we're hugely excited to get going," said Knight. "We got ourselves into a really good place towards the back-end of the India trip and then throughout Sri Lanka and I want us to maintain those levels this summer.

"West Indies will be a big test so we'll need to be at our best"

The Ashes is naturally a big motivation for the English players, but Knight stressed that England's primary focus will be to further strengthen their position on the ICC Women's Championship points table, which could earn them direct qualification for the ICC Women's World Cup 2021.

"West Indies will be a big test so we'll need to be at our best but we've continued to grow and progress as a team and we're confident about what we can bring to the table. The first step is qualifying for the ICC Women's World Cup before we can begin to think about the T20Is and reclaiming the Ashes."

England squad for first two West Indies ODIs: Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Sophie Ecclestone, Alex Hartley, Jenny Gunn, Amy Jones, Laura Marsh, Nat Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Sarah Taylor, Fran Wilson, Lauren Winfield, Danni Wyatt.
