England unveil Women's T20 World Cup kit

England, who are in Group B for the tournament, will start their campaign on Sunday, 23 February against South Africa at the WACA in Perth. Before that, they will play two warm-up games: against New Zealand on the 16th and against Sri Lanka on the 18th.

The playing kit this time is a darker shade of red and a round collar. The kit largely resembles the one worn by the men's team in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

England in the opening edition of the men's T20 World Cup

England have only won the women's trophy once, when they defeated New Zealand in the maiden tournament in 2009. They have finished runners-ups thrice, in 2012, 2014 and in the previous edition in 2018, where current hosts Australia emerged victorious.

England also finished last in the recently concluded tri-nation series against Australia and India, after they were knocked out on the basis of a poor net run-rate.

They will battle it out with South Africa, Pakistan, Thailand and West Indies for a top-two finish to get to the semi-finals.
