Former England international David Capel dies aged 57
Northamptonshire announced on social media about Capel's demise: "It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce the death of former Northamptonshire and England great, David Capel at the age of 57."
He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2018.

Capel represented England in 13 Tests and 23 ODIs between 1987 and 1990. The all-rounder made 701 international runs and took 38 wickets. He enjoyed success in both first-class and List A cricket, making 12,202 runs and taking 546 wickets in the former, and 7011 runs and 281 wickets in the latter.
After retirement he took to coaching, becoming England Women's assistant coach in 2013 before taking the role of head coach for Bangladesh Women in 2016.
