Former West Indies captain announces retirement from international cricket
He will continue to play in franchise cricket. Ramdin represented West Indies in 74 Test matches, 139 ODIs and 71 T20Is. He scored 2898 runs in the longest format, with four centuries. He accumulated 2200 runs in ODIs with two centuries and scored a further 636 runs T20I cricket.
Ramdin made his international debut for West Indies against Sri Lanka in 2005. He last represented his country in a T20I series against India in 2019.
Announcing his retirement, Ramdin wrote on a post on Instagram, "It is with great pleasure that I announce my retirement from international cricket. I fulfilled my childhood dreams by playing cricket for Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies.
