Freya Kemp included for one-off Test as England name squads for their tour of South Africa
England have announced their Women's squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa, comprising three T20Is and as many ODIs, and a one-off Test match.
Heather Knight will lead the team across the three formats as England prepare for a much-anticipated tour of South Africa, which includes the first women’s Test match to be hosted in South Africa since 2002.
The four-day match, set to take place in Bloemfontein, comes after the white-ball games.

All-rounder Paige Scholfield, who made her senior international debut in the recent series against Ireland, has been named in England’s T20I squad. Fast bowler Lauren Filer earns a place in all three squads, affirming her growing role in the team across formats.
19-year-old promising young talent Freya Kemp joins the Test squad for the first time, and batter Maia Bouchier could also be in line for her maiden Test cap in the tour.
The T20I squad departs for South Africa on November 16, while players selected for the ODI and Test squads will join them later, arriving on November 27.
England will, however, be without all-rounder Danielle Gibson, who is recovering from surgery following a knee injury sustained during the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. England’s blend of youth and experience will look to make an impact across all formats against the Proteas.
