Gaby Lewis powers Ireland to an emphatic series win over Pakistan
This was Lewis' second fifty of the series. She had also scored 69 from 54 deliveries to guide Ireland home in the first T20I. As a result, she was adjudged as both Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
Ireland posted a huge total of 167/4 in the final T20I on Wednesday, riding on an opening stand of 110 between Lewis and Amy Hunter, who made her way to a composed knock of 40 from 35 deliveries. Orla Prendergast also played her part well as she smashed 37 from just 23 deliveries after walking out to bat at No.3.

Pakistan needed a good start to chase down the target but they lost early wickets. Top-order batter Javeria Khan stuck around and played a valiant knock of 50 from 37 deliveries but she didn't fund enough support from the other batters as Pakistan were finally bowled out for 133.
The Irish team had registered a comprehensive win in the first match of the series as well. They chased down 136 with four wickets and eight balls to spare, with Lewis and Prendergast (39 from 25 balls) playing an important role in the chase once again.
Their only loss in the series came in the second T20I, when the match was reduced to 17 overs per side due to rain. Ireland managed to score only 118/7 in their quota of overs and Pakistan chased the target down with an over and sic wickets to spare.
But the visitors bounced back well and registered a majestic win in the final match, which also helped them record a historic series win in Pakistan.
This victory will also serve their confidence well heading into the Women's T20 World Cup, which starts in February next year. Ireland have been placed in Group B along with Pakistan, which also has strong teams like India, England and West Indies featuring in it.
