Gaby Lewis to lead as Ireland name squads for white-ball series against England
In the absence of Laura Delany, Gaby Lewis will lead the ODI and T20I squads for the bilateral series against England.
Ireland's regular skipper Laura Delany continues to be absent after being ruled out of the Sri Lanka series. Lewis, however, returns from the injury that saw her miss a part of the ICC Women's Championship series against Sri Lanka.
After their historic triumph over Sri Lanka (2-1) in the recent ODI series, Ireland will hope to make more progress in the ICC Women's Championship standings against a strong England side.

“Following on from the series win against Sri Lanka, we are excited about the prospect of taking on the world’s number two side and look forward to a competitive series against England," Ciara O’Brien, Ireland Women’s team selector said.
“We are disappointed that Laura’s [Delany] injury is more serious than first thought, and her years of experience and leadership will be missed. However, Gaby [Lewis] has led before in Laura’s absence – we’re very comfortable with her stepping in to lead for the England series and know that she will bring her impeccable high standards to the role."
