DRIVING

Please be aware that Highways England is upgrading the M27 between junction 4 (M3 interchange) and junction 11 at Fareham, into a smart motorway. Smart motorways are a technology driven approach to tackling the most congested parts of the network. They increase capacity and improve journey reliability, by controlling the flow and speed of traffic and providing driver information displayed on signs.

Construction has now started, and the scheme will be completed by spring 2021. There will be traffic management in place along the M27 between junctions 4 and 11 throughout this time, so we advise road users to plan their journey in advance by visiting the Traffic England website: www.trafficengland.comor by following their Twitter feed: @HighwaysSEAST. Alternatively, please also consider other modes of transport when travelling to the Hampshire Bowl.

For more information on the scheme, visit the Highways England website - www.highwaysengland.co.uk where you can also sign up to receive email updates.
