'Historic, unbelievable, and exemplary' – India conquer The Gabba

India

From being 36 all out in the series opener and 1-0 down, and facing the remainder of the series without regular skipper and talisman Virat Kohli, to losing some of their top players to injury, India came a long way as they conquered The Gabba fortress and won the four-match series with a sensational performance.

First up, India's stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane, and his men took to social media to celebrate one of the nation's greatest ever Test wins.

"A series we can never forget," says the man who led his side to a famous victory.

Others too, from the Indian cricket family, joined the celebrations, with legends Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman expressing their pride.

Some high praise for Rahane from India great Bishan Bedi!

There wasn't just one, but many match-winners who contributed to the win for India.
