ICC announces umpire and referee appointments for upcoming Test and ODI series in Bangladesh
The ICC today confirmed details of umpire and match referee appointments for an upcoming Test series and two ODI series in Bangladesh.
The entire programme of two Tests and a total of six ODIs will be overseen by Ranjan Madugalle of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.
The first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa gets underway in Dhaka on 22 February and after that the action will shift to Chittagong for the second Test, which starts on 29 February. Both Tests will be umpired by Aleem Dar and Steve Bucknor of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
After the Test series, the host team will play South Africa in three ODIs, one in Chittagong on 9 March and the other two in Dhaka on 12 March and 14 March. All three of those ODIs will be umpired by Dar and a local appointment.
Bangladesh will then welcome Ireland to its shores for another three-match ODI series. Those matches will all take place in Dhaka on 18 March, 20 March and 22 March with Tyron Wijewardena of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires standing with a local appointment.
