Nishant Sindhu of India is presented with a commemorative plaque by Pascal Murungi of Uganda ahead of the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup match between India and Uganda at Brian Lara Cricket Academy on January 22, 2022 in Tarouba, Trinidad And Tobago.

Uganda captain Pascal Murungi said: “We're just taking everything the positives. When we are going to play India we knew it’s most probably the most difficult team to play against and we have got exposure, we have got everything.

“So to our side it was giving it our best, that's why when we won the toss, we opted to ball first and we have given it our best with the ball and then we see what we do to learn from them because they are far ahead of us.

“But all I can say is we never bowled badly, but they were experienced more than us in the game, so that's why you're seeing such a score, but it's a good experience for us to be on this level.

On the injury to Isaac Ategeka: “He was hit as he was opening the batting but right now he is in the hospital, I think he is recovering, they are working on him but I am very sure by the next game he will be ago.”
