India women's coach resigns
Arothe, who has been coach since April 2007, cited personal reasons for quitting his role less than five months before the Women’s World T20.
Under his guidance, the team reached the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017. In 2018, the team won the three-match ODI series & five-match T20I series in South Africa. Earlier this year, the team reached the final of the Asia Cup held in Malaysia, where they lost to Bangladesh.
BCCI said they thanked and wished the best for Arothe, and that they have begun the search for his replacement.
