Ireland name unchanged ODI squad for remainder of Tri-Nation Series
Ireland had initially named the squad only for their first two ODIs and were expected to make changes in the second half of the series with those playing in an Ireland Wolves match against Bangladesh on 5 May having a chance to earn selection. However, after their second match in the series was rained out on Thursday, 9 May, selectors thought it was appropriate to give the current members one more go at proving themselves.
"While it was unfortunate yesterday’s game was rained off, we have just had the two games so far [against England and West Indies] and selectors want to give this current 14-man squad the chance to play itself back into the current series and make a bid for the final on Friday," said Andrew White, the Chair of National Men's Selectors.

"While there were a number of good performances during the Wolves game against Bangladesh last weekend, we believe the current squad deserves the opportunity to contest the remainder of the series."
Ireland had suffered a heavy defeat in their opening fixture against West Indies and their second match against Bangladesh was abandoned on account of relentless rain. The hosts will now play West Indies again on Saturday, 11 May at The Village in Dublin and will need a win to keep their campaign alive. They have one more league game left against Bangladesh, which will take place on Wednesday, 15 May. With six points in two games, Bangladesh are currently leading the points table.
