Zeeshan Maqsood of Oman poses after being named Player of the Match following the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe 2023 match between Ireland and Oman at Bulawayo Athletic Club on June 19, 2023 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Ireland v Oman (Oman won by five wickets)

Zeeshan Maqsood, Oman captain and Player of the Match (59 and 1/61):"Credit goes to team-mates, organisers, coach and families. It was painful to get out. It was [a big score], but the wicket played very well in the second half. I am in good form, and just want to carry that on. It's an honour [to beat Ireland]. If we continue like this, some more results will be in our favour. It was a collective and combined performance, which we need to beat a good side. We came here to go there [to India] and play."

Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie:"It is very disappointing, we felt like we had a pretty good score - 280 in a one-day game is pretty good. They were hard to bowl to at times. We felt right in the game. Oman's win didn't take us by surprise but it's a long tournament. We need to get back into it pretty quickly. Ben [White] did a pretty good job. He will get better."
