Kardinia Park - Travel
There are additional public transport services running to and from the matches at Kardinia Park. This includes special train services between Southern Cross Station in Melbourne and Kardinia Park (South Geelong). For information on these services please check PTV's LIVE TRAVEL INFORMATION. Kardinia Park is located in the heart of Geelong and is easily accessible walking from Geelong CBD. Approximately 15-20 minutes from the Waterfront.
Public Bus Stops are located along Moorabool Street, directly opposite Gate 5 – Bernie Smith (river end) and Gate 1 – Polly Farmer (city end).
Please note: The bus routes are subject to change based on road closures along Moorabool Street and you should monitor the Kardinia Park website for updates.
Geelong is approximately one hour from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station, with the Geelong Railway Station situated 1.8 kilometres to the north of the stadium and South Geelong Station located just 450 metres to the east. Making ‘getting to the stadium’ simple and convenient.
Additional services may be provided by V/Line on Major Event days. Patrons are encouraged to visit the V/Line and/or Public Transport Victoria websites, for more information.
There will be no public parking available within the Kardinia Park precinct. There is limited parking on major event days and a parking fee will apply
Geelong is 75 kilometres from Melbourne accessible via the Westgate Bridge and following the Princes Freeway.
In Geelong, the Princes Freeway becomes Latrobe Terrace (no turns required). Once you reach the set of traffic lights directly adjacent to 7-Eleven turn left onto Kilgour Street and make an immediate right. This will take you straight into Kardinia Park’s main entry being Kilgour Street.
A change to traffic conditions will be in place around the stadium during and after major events. Please keep an eye on the Event Page closer to the event.
A Taxi Rank is located on Moorabool Street (directly opposite Gate 1 – Polly Farmer) outside of the Road Closures. Taxis can be booked at any time by phoning 131 008.
Avalon Airport is the closest airport to Geelong and is 23 kilometres north-east of Kardinia Park Stadium. For information about transfers between Avalon and Geelong city please visit the Avalon Airport website.
