Kathryn Bryce named Scotland Women captain
Kathryn Bryce is the new captain of Scotland Women, Cricket Scotland announced on Wednesday 18 April.
She replaces Abbi Aitken, who stepped down last year after leading the side for eight years.
Bryce, the Edinburgh-born all-rounder was handed vice-captaincy duty last year.

Despite her young age, Bryce, 20 is not short on experience. Having made her debut aged 13 in 2011, she was an integral member of Scotland's Under 17 side, where she played for five years, captaining them for nearly four years.
Bryce bats at the top of the order and generally opens the bowling. Her first assignment as captain will be the England and Wales Cricket Board's Twenty20 campaign, where she will be leading the Wildcats in June, before heading to the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier in the Netherlands in July.

“It’s a great honour to be asked to captain such an amazing team with some exciting times coming up, starting with the ICC global qualifiers this summer," said Bryce.
"Our aim this season is to win the ECB T20 ahead of the Qualifiers. I’ve been around the group of girls for a while now and captained the side on a few occasions last year so I’m really looking forward to being able to do it again,” she added.
Bryce was also one of the eight players part of the ICC Rookie Placement Programme, organised in collaboration with Cricket Australia. She was placed with Adelaide Strikes for the 2017 Women’s Big Bash League and also had a stint with Melbourne Stars in the second edition.
