Kirstie Gordon sustains stress fracture
Gordon was the leading wicket-taker for her side in the competition, taking eight wickets as she helped England to the final where they eventually came unstuck against Australia.
The 21-year old made her England debut in the tournament, with her selection coming off the back of a successful summer in the Women's Cricket Super League, as she took 17 wickets for the Loughborough Lightning at an average of 12.47.
England Women’s Head Coach Mark Robinson expressed his disappointment at the news, saying: “Kirstie has had a great start to her international career so this is obviously a set-back for her but hopefully the time out will allow her to come back fitter and stronger.”
Gordon is expected to miss England's upcoming tours to India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2019.
