Largest scoreboard at an Australia stadium unveiled at MCG
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), host venue of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 final has today unveiled two new state-of-the-art scoreboards further enhancing the experience for fans looking to travel to the world’s biggest sporting event in 2015.
The LED high-definition scoreboards are the largest to feature at an Australian sports stadium to date, and each measure 25.24 metres wide and 13.17 metres high or approximately 332 square metres.
The area available on the new boards is more than three times the size of the boards they replace, enabling larger fonts and more information to be easily read from a distance.
“A key feature of the new boards is their ability to show the full cricket scorecard for the first time, enabling spectators to see batting and bowling cards on the one screen,” Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) CEO Stephen Gough said.
