PLAN YOUR JOURNEY

The following information will help you plan your travel to Lord’s and offer transport tips to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Plan your journey to and from Lord's and purchase your tickets in advance if required.

Allow enough time for your journey and get to the venue early, the surrounding area can get extremely busy near the start of the match.

Lord’s is very close to the centre of London and easy to reach by Tube, Train, Bus and Bike. See www.tfl.gov.uk for more information.

LONDON UNDERGROUND

Visitors travelling to and from central London are advised to alight or board Underground services at Baker Street Station and follow a signed walking route at street level. During major events at Lord’s, St John’s Wood Station is very busy and a queuing system to enter the station post-match will be in place. World Cup Cricketeers will be at both these stations to help answer any questions and point you in the right direction!

The following stations are all within fifteen minutes’ walk of the Ground:

Baker Street – Bakerloo, Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City lines (15 mins)
St. John’s Wood – Jubilee line (5 mins)
Warwick Avenue – Bakerloo line (10 mins)
Marylebone – Bakerloo line (10 mins)
Edgware Road – Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines (15 mins)

Those travelling by Tube to or from Lord’s requiring step free access are advised to use local bus services from the following stations:

Kilburn (Jubilee line) - Number 189 bus from stop B (on Shoot-up Hill)
Golders Green (Northern line) - Number 13 bus from stop GF (within bus station outside the station entrance)
Paddington Station is a major transport hub with several underground lines and trains services. Paddington is approximately 25 minutes’ walk from Lord’s.

BUS

The 13 and 113 routes run adjacent to Lord's on the Wellington Road (to the east of the Ground). These stops are closest to the North and East Gates and are within a comfortable walking distance to the Grace Gate.

The 139 and 189 routes run adjacent to Lord's on Grove End Road (to the west of the Ground). These routes stop closest to the Grace Gate but are also a short walk from the East and North Gate.

TRAIN

The nearest main line railway station is Marylebone, served by Chiltern Railways, which is approximately ten minutes’ walk from the Ground.

Paddington Station is approximately 25 minutes’ walk from the Ground, for services to West and South-West England and South Wales.

Euston, King’s Cross and St Pancras International stations are only a short journey away. For more information on all rail services please see www.nationalrail.co.uk

WALK/CYCLE

Walking is a great way to get to Lord's. As well as being within 15 minutes’ walk of five Underground stations, the ground, Lords is also less than 10 minutes’ walk away from beautiful Regent’s Park. There will be World Cup Cricketeers in the vicinity of the venue to welcome you when you arrive!

A number of bike racks are available outside the Ground for cyclists to lock their bikes to.

There are several Cycle Hire docking stations within five minutes’ walk of the Ground, on Abbey Road, St John’s Wood Road, Wellington Road, Lodge Road, Lisson Grove and Prince Albert Road.

Lord's is also well served by London cycling infrastructure, with the East/West Cycle Super Highway & Quietway 3 within close proximity. Cyclist-friendly Cycle Super Highways & Quietways, provide protected space for cyclists along some of London’s busiest roads, (CSH) as well as routes through quieter backstreets (Quietways).

DROP OFF & PICK UP/ TAXI, PRIVATE HIRE, UBER

There are designated taxi bays in the local area.

Private Hire & UBER – please arrange these services away from the venue and local residents, in order to make the process more efficient and speed up your journey.

CAR

We encourage all visitors to use public transport if possible.

There are parking restrictions affecting non-residents on the streets surrounding Lord’s and on St John’s Wood High Street on all major match days, so please ensure you do not park in bays which are for residents’ use only.

There is a blue badge drop off area which must be arranged in advance by contacting the MCC Club Facilities Department on 020 7616 8653. There is no blue badge parking for this venue.
