McCullum hails 'incredibly courageous' Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Opening batsman Brendon McCullum was full of praise for the teenager, who was adjudged the Player of the Match for his splendid bowling performance.
"He's really quiet but he's a great guy. I still find it incredibly courageous from him to fly the nest and come all the way over from Afghanistan to embed himself in a foreign environment for two months at his age," McCullum said after the game on Saturday, 5 January, as quoted on cricket.com.au.
"The performances he is putting up are deserving of his efforts and courage to do so. He's a great member of our side. He doesn't say a lot, but the boys enjoy him and obviously, when he performs like that, it's certainly easier to get right in behind him."
This is the first time Mujeeb has participated in the Big Bash League and is already making waves with his consistent returns in the tournament.

The 17-year-old has claimed four scalps in four games and looks primed to follow Rashid Khan's footsteps to become the next successful spinner from Afghanistan in the competition.
"I'm very excited to be named Player of the Match," he said. "I am really enjoying it very much. Australia is a country I'm very impressed by, my teammates have been fantastic and I am really enjoying everything about it."
