The media accreditation process for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 closes this week. This is an online process that can be completed by clicking here and is for all non-rights holding (NRH) media including written press, photographers and TV broadcasters.

Members of media have time until 17h00 Dubai time (GMT +4) on Saturday, 9 September 2023, to register for accreditation. As part of the process, the media will need to upload the relevant documents. The ICC advises applicants to have these prepared in soft copy as you will not be able to submit the application form without them.

  1. A colour headshot photograph with a plain background (like a passport photo) – jpeg or png file (1-2MB)
  2. Letter of approval/assignment from your Editor/Commissioning Editor – pdf or jpeg file
  3. Passport/National Identity Card/Driving License
  4. Sample of work at the last ICC event attended (could be a PDF or a weblink)

You will also be asked to select league matches that you intend to cover; match-day accreditation for knockouts will commence at the end of the league stage.

Please also select the warm-up matches if you intend to cover any. If you have not already selected them, you are advised to login to your account again and select them. You may also want to change the accreditation pickup centre in that case.

Please note that you can apply on the accreditation portal directly and do not need access to the Online Media Zone for that.

The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

Whilst selecting matches, the media is advised to bear in mind the following:

  • Your World Cup pass doesn’t guarantee you a space in the media working area on a match day. Match-day accreditation lists will be prepared as per the ICC review process. Please refer to the FAQs document for more about the review process.
  • Match notifications will begin in due course and will be published on the online portal. You will be able to log into your account and see the matches for which you have been allocated a seat in the media box, or a photo position.

As at previous ICC events, NRH camerapersons will be accredited for the event, but only reporters will be accredited on match days. However, to facilitate the NRHs, who will be allowed to cover certain pre-match activities, all pre-match and post-match media conferences will be uploaded to the Online Media Zone.
