Media Information for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 – Tuesday, 17th October
The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Tuesday, 17th October at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023:
South Africa play the Netherlandsin a league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at 14h00 local time at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Teams will address post-match media conferences starting around 10 minutes after the end of the match, with a member of the losing team coming in first followed by a member of the winning team. A mixed zone will also be in operation following the post-match press conferences.
**** New Zealand and Afghanistan will face off at 14h00 local time on Wednesday, 18 October at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On their pre-match day on Tuesday, 17 October:
- Afghanistanwill hold a training session at MA Chidambaram Stadium from 14h00. They will hold their pre-match media conference at 16h45
- New Zealandwill hold a training session at the same venue from 18h00. They will hold their pre-match media conference on arrival at the venue shortly beforetheir training session
A reminder that media, who have nominated to pick-up their accreditation in Chennai, can do so from the Media Centre office on Level 2.
Additional note for NRH media:
- Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
- The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
- If you intend to film non-matchday press conferences (either by camera or phone) please position yourself in the back row or behind the back row of seating.
- Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation
- No filming is allowed in the Mixed Zone for any NRH media
**** Note for photographers:
- Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and only permitted in designated areas
- On pre-match days photographers need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Operations Manager
- On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a pre-match meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions by the Venue Operations Manager
- NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.
**** Media Centre timings: On match days, the media areas will open two hours before the start of play and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play; on match day minus one and match day minus two, the media areas will remain open through the training session timings of the two teams and close one hour after the end of the last training session.
