Media opportunities at ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021

The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Friday, 22 October at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021:

Sharjah

  • Ireland and Namibia play their Group A match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday at 14h00 local time. The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match.
  • Sri Lanka and the Netherlands play their Group A match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday at 18h00 local time. The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match.

Abu Dhabi

  • South Africa and Australia play their Group 1 match of the Super 12s in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Both teams will train from 14h00 to 17h00 local time and hold their pre-match press conference at the Zayed Stadium – South Africa at 16h30 local time and Australia at 13h40.
  • England and the West Indies play their Group 1 match of the Super 12s in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The West Indies will train at the Zayed Stadium Oval 1 from 18h00 to 21h00 local time with their pre-match press conference at the Zayed Stadium at 18h00.

Dubai

  • England will train at the ICC Academy ground from 18h00 to 21h00 local time with their pre-match press conference at the Dubai International Stadium at 17h00.

Important announcements on accreditation:

Match-day selection: Due to several requests for changes in match selections, the accreditation portal has been opened again for you to log into your accounts and check on match selections. In case you missed selecting any matches, made wrong selections or have a change in plans, please log in and carry out any changes. You can only log on to the portal till 23h00 Dubai time on Friday.

Please note that no new accreditation applications are being entertained.

Collection of accreditation cards:

Media accreditation cards can be collected at the venues from 12h00 to 18h00 but not on match days. Please plan accordingly and pick your accreditation cards in advance.

Some other points to note:

Media interactions are being held on a hybrid model, allowing a limited number of journalists to join in person with the global media allowed to join remotely. Those joining remotely, please login ahead of expected time of media interactions.

NRH camerapersons are not allowed at the pre-match media conferences and will not get match-day accreditation. Press conference clips will be uploaded on the Online Media Zone for TV channels and websites only. These cannot be shared on any Social Media platforms. Filming is not allowed inside venues on match days.

Reporters wanting to attend any media conference need to produce proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending a match at any venue. This is an event requirement, and the ICC has arranged for these tests. More about this can be found in our advisoryhere.
