Pakistan sets up training camp ahead of Women’s World Cup Qualifier
Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier from April 9-19.
The Women’s National Selection Committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up 19 players to the training camp in preparation for the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, which will take place in April in Lahore.
This camp is a continuation of Pakistan’s preparations for the event. 33 players had gathered in Faisalabad last month for the first phase of preparations.
Among the personnel, Tuba Hassan has been ruled out of the tournament due to a fractured finger. On the other hand, All-rounder Nida Dar returns to training.
Camp players: Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Ghulam Fatima, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali (wicket-keeper), Najiha Alvi (wicket-keeper), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz (wicket-keeper), Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab and Umm-e-Hani.
The Qualifier will be played across two venues in Lahore (Gaddafi Stadium and LCCA ground), and will feature six sides. Apart from Pakistan, these will be Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies.
The top two among these sides will make it to the Women’s Cricket World Cup, all set to be held later this year in India.
Pakistan team will undergo a preparation camp at the Ghani Glass Academy in DHA, Lahore from 21 to 30 March.

During the 10-day camp, the squad members besides undergoing net sessions, will feature in 50-over practice matches.
The head coach of Pakistan’s women’s side, Muhammad Wasim will work as camp commandant and will be assisted by other national women's team coaches.
