After a month of riveting action, the Pakistan Super League will come to a thrilling climax on Sunday, 27 February, when Lahore Qalandars take on Multan Sultans in the final.

Led by the ICC Men's T20I Player of the Year 2021, Mohammad Rizwan, Multan Sultans have rampaged through their competition in PSL 7. The defending champions won nine of their 10 league game, finishing comfortably on top with 18 points. They booked their berth in the final after beating Lahore Qalandars in the first qualifier.
The sheer dominance of the Sultans reflects in the run-scoring and wicket-taking charts – two batters and three bowlers occupy the top five in the respective lists. Rizwan and Shan Maqsood have been the backbone of their batting lineup, with the likes of Rilee Rossouw and Tim David providing impetus down the order. Heading into the finals, Khushdil Shah, Imran Tahir and Shahnawaz Dahani have 16 wickets each between them.
The Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, finished second in the points table on net run rate and made full use of the second bite of the cherry, winning the second eliminator to make it to the PSL final for the second time.
Fakhar Zaman has been the star of the campaign and is the highest run-scorer with 585 runs at an average of 48.75 and a strike rate of 154.35. While Lahore's batting has been a one-man show, their bowling is replete with some of the finest bowlers in the modern game. Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, the Qalandars' bowling lineup consisting of Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf and 20-year-old Zaman Khan has left teams in their wake.
It's all to play for in the finals – Multan Sultans will be looking to become the first team to successfully defend the PSL title while Lahore Qalandars will want to get their hands on the coveted trophy for the very first time.
