Positives to take home
Scotland were consistent pretty much throughout the tournament but came up short against the two favourites – Ireland in the group stage and Bangladesh in the semi-finals. Most of their positives were in the form of the Bryce sisters – Sarah and Kathryn – who ended the tournament as the second and third-highest scorers respectively.

Scotland started with a thumping nine-wicket win, bowling Uganda out for a meagre 43 and then chasing the total down in just 6.5 overs. They lost to Ireland in their second outing but a clinical 27-run victory over Thailand helped them qualify for the semi-final. Rachel Scholes, who made her T20I debut in the opening game, was the pick of the bowlers, returning with eight wickets for the tournament.

Areas to improve
While the Bryce sisters were excellent up front, none of the other batters were able to add to their good work, which ultimately brought about their undoing. While batting first, they were unable to breach the 100-mark even once, something that they will have to improve on when playing against strong oppositions.

Rising star
Sarah Bryce: The 18-year-old made her T20I debut in this tournament and immediately showed that she belonged at the highest level. In five outings, she scored 162 runs at an excellent average of 81. She was fairly neat behind the stumps as well, affecting four stumpings and plucking five catches.
