Russel Arnold
After making his Test debut against Pakistan in 1997, Russel Arnold went on to play international cricket for Sri Lanka for 10 years between 1997 and 2007. Lauded for his fighting spirit on the field, he made three test hundreds in 44 tests and scored 3,960 runs in 180 One Day internationals. He also secured seven Man of the Match performances in ODI cricket.
At the age of 34, the man affectionately known as ‘Rusty’, announced his retirement and turned his attention to broadcasting and coaching. Arnold has now settled in Sydney with his family.
