In addition to the central contracts, a limited number of incremental contracts are also awarded and Tom Curran is the recipient of one such contract. Test contract awardees and those playing all formats are paid their salaries in full by the ECB while white-ball players are paid a supplement over their county salaries.
Players in all formats will receive a 'ranking' based on their on-field performances as well as their off-field contribution, fitness and fielding. This rating will decide their remuneration.
These contracts will cover a 12-month period beginning from 1 October 2018.
