Satterthwaite returns for New Zealand's tour of Australia
Satterthwaite and Jess Watkin are the two players recalled to the 17-member squad captained by Sophie Devine. Leg-spinner Deanna Doughty earned a maiden call-up.
However, New Zealand will be without off-spinner Leigh Kasperek, who is currently in the UK and unable to travel owing to COVID-19 travel restrictions, and off-spinner Anna Peterson, who opted out for personal reasons.
New Zealand will play three Rose Bowl ODIs and three T20Is on their tour. The series will mark the first international cricket for both sides since the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in February-March in Australia.

"The team is extremely thankful to all those involved in making this tour a reality," said Devine. "We hope the upcoming ODI and T20I matches can excite and entertain people in what’s been a tough time for everyone.
“We’re definitely going over there to bring back the Rose Bowl,” she added. "The team are under no illusions – it’s going to be a tough task taking on a world-class Australian team. We’re an experienced group and having Amy back in the fold only adds to our batting depth and on-field leadership."
The players are scheduled to leave for Australia on 9 September. All matches will be played at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, starting 26 September.
