Scotland book tickets for U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2024 through Europe Qualifier
Scotland became the latest team to qualify for the U19 World Cup 2024 in Sri Lanka with a strong run of form in the Europe Qualifier. New Zealand from the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier, Nepal from the Asia Qualifier and Namibia from the Africa Qualifier are the others to make the tournament.
Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe have automatically qualified as the best-placed Full Member nations from the previous edition in 2022.
Scotland were dominant in the Qualifier after their first match against Guernsey was washed out.
They beat Jersey by 70 runs and Netherlands by 46 runs before smashing Norway and Italy in their final two games. Against Norway, Scotland recorded a ten-wicket win after bowling the opposition out for 116.
They went on to better that bowling performance against Italy on Saturday, wiping them out for 78 after making 229 batting first.
One more spot is still up for grabs at the U19 Men's event next year with the Americas Regional Qualifier, where Argentina, Bermuda, hosts Canada and USA are participating.
