Seddon Park- Venue
Seddon Park is set amongst a village green setting with tree-lined grassy banks, affording a picnic atmosphere for fans. It is the fourth-largest cricket ground in the country.
Seddon Park was named after Richard Seddon, the longest-serving Prime Minister of New Zealand.
It was first used for a major cricket match in 1914 and has been in constant use since. Seddon Park was a venue for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2015.
Kane Williamson has the highest Test score on the ground, 251 versus West Indies in 2020, whilst Ross Taylor holds the highest Test aggregate for the ground of 908 runs.
Seddon Park will host 7 matches of the CWC22.
