Shift in venues of the warm-up fixtures of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier 2024
After heavy rains in Abu Dhabi, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued an update regarding the warm-up fixtures for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier.
As per the original practice schedule, Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi was slated to host four warm-up games ahead of the tournament. However, following the recent heavy rains in the UAE, the venue is undergoing restoration.

Now the games have been moved to Tolerance and Mohan Ovals.
The Zayed Cricket Stadium is expected to be ready in time to host the opening game of the tournament on 25 April.

The Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier will see 10 teams divided into two groups of five each. The top two sides from each group will then enter the semi-final stage. The semi-finals' winners will secure a place in the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in Bangladesh.
