All-rounder replaces injured newbie in India squad for Zimbabwe tour
Injury forces change to the India squad ahead of five-match T20 international series in July.
Shivam Dube has been named as a replacement for the injured Nitish Reddy in India’s squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.
India will play Zimbabwe in a five-match T20I series in Harare, starting from July 6, 2024.
The all-rounder has weighed in with some valuable innings during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, including an unbeaten 31 against the USA, and 34 against Bangladesh.
He joins Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson as the only players from the T20 World Cup squad who are also travelling to Zimbabwe.
Reddy, a 21-year-old all-rounder, was called up to the T20I squad for the first time this tour following impressive form for the Sunrisers in the IPL. The BCCI Medical Team will monitor Nitish Reddy’s progress.
